Superb wall clock and its console, ebony veneer inlaid with copper strings.
Beautiful decor with gilded bronze: globe, scientific instruments, foliage, bearded head, moldings, turned legs, carved corners, friezes, great falls and foliate tail piece.
The dial is made of bronze, with lily flower decoration and 13 enamel pieces. It is supported by two winding consoles, entirely chiselled and placed on an entablature with the signing Gaudron Paris.
The movement is also Gaudron (against-signed on the back deck).
Ringtone to quarters and hours. It lacks the rehearsal.
Work of Louis XIV period (eighteenth century).
