More info

Beautiful Rio rosewood coffee table, designed by Danish Grete Jalk (1920-2006).
Solid rosewood base and rosewood veneer top.
Typical Scandinavian design: the oblong shape of its top with rounded edges. Edges that are also tapered, raised and cored along the length.
The tapered base is also characteristic of this Nordic design from the 50s and 60s.
Two metal labels nailed under the tray: the black (classic) "Danish furniturmakers control" and a green one "Design Grete Jalk - made in Denmark - PJ" (published by Poul Jeppensen in the 1960s).
