Small mahogany chest of drawers, Louis XVI period stamped by Fidelis Schey

Superb small chest of drawers in speckled mahogany.
It is stamped by Schey and opens with two drawers which simulate three rows.
Quality work, dating from the Louis XVI period.

Magnificent little chest of drawers in speckled mahogany.
Solid mahogany for the fronts of the two drawers, with hidden crosspieces simulating three rows. The sides are veneered in mahogany on fir.
The uprights, rounded at the front and jutted at the rear, are fluted and terminated with high tapered feet.
The front and sides have a small molding at the bottom.
The interior of the drawers is in oak and a single lock with its key closes the two drawers.
Royal red marble top with a groove.
It is stamped F SCHEY above the front left upright: Fidelis Schey, master in Paris in 1777.
The keyholes and handles are original and in gilded bronze.
Louis XVI period work.
