Large painting by Jean Baptiste De Roy, known as Roy de Bruxelles (1759-1839).
This oil on panel represents a cowherd, his dog and their cows in a meadow, at the edge of the water. Very beautiful light.
It is signed in the lower left corner : J B DE ROY and is dated 1800.
Beautiful frame with golden channels, early 19th century (2.7 ft X 3.6 ft)
In good general condition except two slots that have been glued together.
