Pretty gilded and chiseled bronze fireplace clock set.
The two candelabras are six sconces with two cherubs below holding birds. They are based on openwork bases.
The clock has the same openwork and eventful base with an asymmetrical shape. Above, stands a young woman slightly reclining who represents an allegory of Prudence (serpent around one of her arms) with in her hand a dove symbolizing love.
The dial bears the signature of Jean à Rennes.
Transition style, Napoleon III period.
Good condition of the gilding, one of the branches of a candelabra is broken and will need to be restored.
