Nice little happiness-of-the-day desk in rosewood veneer.
It opens in the upper part with two slatted doors and two drawers. White marble top surrounded by an openwork bronze gallery.
On the belt and on the front, a large false drawer surmounts two small drawers.
The broken top unfolds to reveal a leather top.
Its four feet are arched and six-sided.
It is stamped JME under the front cross member and G. CORDIER, received Master in 1766 (reference: Pierre Kjellberg, Le Meuble français du XVIIIe, Editions de l'Amateur, page 186).
Some restoration work will be expected.
