Escalier de Cristal in Paris: lemon tree desk

Superb desk in solid lemon tree and lemon tree veneer. Its top has a molded edge and is surrounded by a frame. It opens with two drawers in front.
Belt rails paneled in relief and joined by four sheath feet with tapered angles. They are connected to each other by a molded and cut-out crotch shelf with a frame on three sides.
Work dating from the mid-19th century, very neat and bearing the stamp "Escalier de Cristal Paris" below the central crosspiece.
